In the custom development, the devices from this Chinese OEM used to be among the most active players. One major reason for the same is the easily and freely accessible unbrick tool aka the MSM Download Tool using which you could unbrick any OnePlus device right from the comfort of your device.
You didn’t had to shell out any bucks nor there was a need for an authorized account. However, all good things come to an end. And unfortunately the same was the case with this as well. During the release of the OnePlus 10 series, the company was taken over by Oppo, which ultimately spelled the death knell for this OEM. Not only OxygenOS was completely ruined [thanks to ColorOS], but even the MSM Tool was taken away from us.
In place of that, we now have the Oppo Flash Tool, which even though supports flashing unbrick firmware, but it now requires authorized access. But, fast forward a year, with the release of the OnePlus 11, a developer set up an environment and asked the service center to repair his device online. While that was going on, he was quick to capture the data packet and carry out the Man in the Middle Attack which ultimately resulted in our ability to unbrick our device once again!
But while the tool was already available, there were still no signs of an unbrick firmware. Until now. Again thanks to some nifty work by the developers, we now have the Oppo Flash Tool compatible unbrick EDL firmware for your OnePlus device which we will be sharing in this guide. So without further ado, let’s get started.
What is Oppo Flash Tool
Oppo Flash Tool is an authorized official flashing tool from Oppo that is used to flash stock firmware on various OnePlus and Oppo devices. It beholds a slew of useful features up its sleeves, including but not limited to:
Flash Firmware
You could manually flash the stock firmware on your device using this tool in just a few clicks.
Force Upgrade
If the update has been rolled out but your device is still yet to receive the same as an OTA, then you may manually download and flash the update package via the Oppo Flash Tool.
Downgrade
If supported by your device, you may also downgrade the OS to its earlier build. This might come in handy if the latest version has some bugs and issues or has ended up breaking some functionalities of the OS or third-party/system apps.

How to Unbrick OnePlus via Oppo Flash Tool
The below process will wipe off all the data from your device [although you wouldn’t be able to take a backup now, but still, it was a fact worth reiterating]. Thedroidwin will not be held responsible if something happens to your device and data after performing the below steps.
STEP 1: Disable Driver Signature
Your first course of action should be to disable the driver signature verification enforcement on your PC. If you don’t do so, then Windows will not let you install the EDL Drivers. So refer to the below steps and get this job done right away:
- Press and hold the Shift key and while doing so, hit Restart.
- Your device will now reboot to Windows Recovery Environment.
- From there, go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings.
- Then click on Restart preset at the bottom right.
- Now press the 7 or F7 key to select Disable Driver Signature Enforcement.
- Your PC will now restart and the driver signature stands disabled.
STEP 2: Install EDL Drivers
Your next course of action is to install the EDL Drivers, also known as Qualcomm HS USB QDLoaders, on your PC. This is needed so that your PC is able to identify the connected device in Emergency Download Mode. SO refer to our detailed guide on How to Install Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 EDL Drivers.
STEP 3: Download Oppo Flash Tool
You may now get hold of the Oppo Flash Tool from below. It will be used to flash the EDL firmware and unbrick your OnePlus device.

STEP 4: Install MITM Proxy and Proxifier
- To begin with, download and extract the software package.
- Then launch the Proxifier setup and install it. [Once done, minimize it].
- Now launch MITMProxy setup and install it [uncheck launch mitmproxy now].
- Then go to the Qualcomm Driver Package and launch the Install file.
- You might get a couple of prompts from Google and Vivo, make sure to hit Install.
STEP 6: Add Proxy Server and Rules
- Launch Proxifier, go to Profiles > Proxy Server and click Add.
- Type in 127.0.0.1 under Address, 8080 under Port, and select HTTPS Protocol.
- Now click OK > YES > OK > OK in the prompts that appear.
- Then go to Profile > Proxification Rule > change Default Action to Direct and click Add.
- Now give it a name. Click Browse under Applications and go to the OPlusFlashTool folder.
- Then select the DownloadTool.exe file and hit Open.
- Now select Proxy HTTPS 127.0.0.1 under Action and click OK.
STEP 7: Setup Oppo Flash Tool
- Go to oppo_edl_crack and launch the batch file. This will automatically launch mitmproxy.
- Now launch the Oppo Flash Tool [use the same exe that you added to the Proxification Rule].
- Change the server to EU/India and type in random stuff under username, password, and verification code.
- Now click on Software Package from the left and select the downloaded EDL firmware.
- Finally, click Flash. The tool will now verify the upgrade package and will take a few minutes.
- Once done, click Stop Flash. Then enable Default NV and click Start Flash.
STEP 8: Boot OnePlus to EDL and Unbrick It
- Make sure that your device is completely powered off.
- Then connect one end of the USB cable to your PC but don’t plug the other end to the device.
- Now press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down keys.
- While holding both these keys, connect the other end of the USB cable to your device.
- Your device will now be detected by the tool and the flashing will start [you may now release the keys].
- Once the flashing is complete, your device will automatically boot to the OS.
